GriefShare
Losing someone close to you hurts.   But you don't have to go through the grieving process alone.

GriefShare is a support ministry for people grieving the death of someone close. It’s a weekly time of gathering with others to navigate through the rolling waters of grief.  Together, we draw strength from God's Word and from each other.

At GriefShare you will receive valuable information about recovering from grief and renewing your hope for the future.  The sessions are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help.  It’s a safe place be to around others who are dealing with similar circumstances and who understand your pain.

Each session of the program includes a video seminar and group discussion. GriefShare videos feature interviews with authors, counselors, speakers and pastors with expertise in grief recovery — but they also include observations from everyday people who have experienced loss and gone through the process of grief firsthand.   After the video, there is discussion about what the group has viewed.  You'll have the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced recent loss, learn about their experiences, and also share your own.  Participants also receive a workbook with devotionals and weekly journals.
The video below gives you an overview of the program.

The seminar is 11 weeks long, and each session is self-contained so you can join at any time.  You will find help, hope, and encouragement whenever you begin. There is no cost for the seminar; however, a $20.00 donation for the accompanying workbook is appreciated, if you are able.

Our next GriefShare group at Holy Cross begins Wednesday, September 15.
If there is enough interest, we may also start a group during a weekday.  For more information, or if you'd like to register for our next group, please email us or call the church office at 410-825-7905.   Anyone experiencing the loss of someone close — no matter how long it’s been — is welcome to attend.  Christ's peace.
